The Adacen Living Lab is an area of research and testing which exists to help patients, designers, researchers and firms to work together on innovations and test products and developments focused on neurological rehabilitation and the promotion of self-sufficiency. Its object is the creation of new services, products and infrastructures that are appropriate for the current needs that the challenge of old age and neurological rehabilitation require.
On being set up and for its subsequent development, the living lab has had its own methodology and has taken on staff that is specialized in neurological rehabilitation and the treatment of the elderly and people with disabilities, who are trained in the processes of innovations centered on the person.
It is a project led by Adacen together with the Public University of Navarra and the Social Innovation Unit of the Government of Navarra and was incorporated in November 2019 to the European Network of Living Labs (ENOLL), being the first member of ENOLL in Navarra and the only one in Spain in relation to neurology.
